North Point Global Ltd (NPG) and its subsidiary companies are already said to owe around £40m to investors who ploughed cash into developments in Manchester and Liverpool.
Among the projects is The Element, a proposed apartment block on Warwick Road in Old Trafford which was never built. Investors put £7,565,516.74 into the venture which later collapsed into administration.
