An Ayrshire mum has launched a fundraising campaign to help ensure the best quality of life for her two children. Claire Greenwood, along with husband Martin, are moving into a bespoke house which will cater to the needs of their two kids Liam, 13, and Jessica, 11.Both children have a rare condition called pontocerebellar hypoplasia, which is a group of related conditions that affect the development of the brain. And life will now improve greatly due to the fact they are moving into a house which will suit them, but the family are still aiming to fully kit it out with all the equipment and furniture the kids will need to ensure that Liam and Jessica have a comfortable life.

Now Claire and Martin, who are massive Kilmarnock fans and season ticket holders at Rugby Park, admit they’re anxious about how they are going to afford to kit the new house out, and in turn they've launched a GoFundMe page.

Claire, from Dreghorn said: “We have two beautiful children Jessica and Liam, who have a progressive, genetic condition for which there is no cure.

Due to their complex needs a vast amount of equipment and medication is needed to keep them safe and as healthy as possible at home. “Their needs and ability vary greatly and are progressing at different rates.
