A Labour MSP has blasted "desperate" South Lanarkshire Council after an email was sent asking unqualified staff if they would like to earn more money working in social care.The local authority said no previous experience would be required in a vital service used by vulnerable people.However, SLC said anyone hired would receive training, but the email has alarmed critics with the GMB union branding the move a "sticking plaster" in the midst of a crisis in social care.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
