Derek Chauvin‘s attorney is attempting to overturn the jury’s decision in the George Floyd murder trial.

Attorney Eric Nelson filed legal documents on Tuesday (May 4) asking for the verdict to be thrown out due to errors pertaining to the jury and prosecution, TMZ reported.

The convicted murderer’s defense attorney claims he didn’t get a fair trial because the court disagreed with requests to sequester the jury and change venue. Maxine Waters‘ encouragement of protestors to take to the streets and “get more confrontational” if the verdict wasn’t guilty, with some seeing that as incitement of violence.
