Denise Van Outen is reportedly back in touch with her former fiancé Jay Kay – who she dated more than 21 years ago – just months after she dumped her ex Eddie Boxshall, according to sources. The TV presenter, 47, famously dated the Jamiroquai frontman for three years before the pair "painfully” split back in 2001.It is thought the singer used their fiery relationship as inspiration for hit band’s hit single Little L which topped the charts in the early noughties.Denise even went on to write about their relationship in her new autobiography A Bit Of Me, claiming they called off their plans to marry due to “conflicting” jobs at the time.A source has since told The Sun how the pair have got back in touch, saying: “Denise and Jay have been speaking again and it has been good for both of them to have that connection.“Their split was very painful but a lot of water has passed under the bridge.”The Daily Star has reached out to representatives for Denise and Jay for a comment. It comes after Eddie allegedly moved out of her home after their shocking split and is now thought to be staying with friends while he continues to work on his career. In her new autobiography, the blonde bombshell alleged that her ex Eddie took her phone and blocked a woman he had reportedly been sexting, so she couldn’t tell her about their secret messages. The starlet was heartbroken back in January after she announced their split as she alleged he had been sending X-rated messages to another woman behind her back.In an excerpt from her new book, she claimed: “I quickly found the woman’s profile by her screen name, only to discover I'd previously blocked her on my Instagram account – which struck me as odd.“This was a woman I didn’t know, who’s clearly had.
