Rangers defender David Robertson is in the frame to become the next boss of Ayr United. Record Sport understands the 52-year-old is one of the candidates being considered to replace Mark Kerr who left by mutual consent at the weekend after a run of only one win in the previous ten games.
Robertson is currently in charge of Indian I-League club Real Kashmir and has impressed during coaching spells in America as well as previous stints with Montrose and Elgin City.
Ayr are just four points off the foot of the table after a 1-0 home loss to Arbroath on Saturday with David White and Derek Stillie taking interim charge as the search for a permanent successor commences.
