dailystar.co.ukDavid de Gea was left fuming at Trent Alexander-Arnold after the Liverpool star booted the ball straight at the Spaniard.The Reds had been celebrating going a goal up after just five minutes in Tuesday's Premier League clash against their fierce rivals when the incident occurred.
Luis Diaz converted Mohamed Salah's cross, with Alexander-Arnold following up the Colombian.As he arrived in the six-yard box, the ball bounced out of the goal with De Gea standing dejected.
And while his team-mates celebrated, Alexander-Arnold opted to boot the ball away, which only narrowly appeared to miss De Gea's head.That left the United keeper furious and he squared up to the Liverpool right-back while Diaz sprinted off in celebration.
The two rivals put their heads to each other and could be seen shouting verbal insults.Referee Martin Atkinson blew on his whistle several times as he sprinted in to break up the two players.
