David Coote has been taken off VAR duties for Liverpool against Leicester in mysterious circumstances. Andre Marriner will instead oversee the match from Stockley Park while Chris Kavanagh remains as the referee.

Virgil van Dijk suffered a potentially season-ending injury after a challenge by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Coote failed to intervene despite many calling for a red card against the Toffees shot-stopper as the match finished in a draw.
