THE family of former Pop Idol star Darius Campbell Danesh have spoken out after his cause of death was revealed today. The singer and actor was found dead in his US apartment, in Rochester, Minnesota, last month at the age of 41.
But today it was confirmed that the star died from "inhalation of chloroethane", the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office said.
Autopsy documents shared with The U.S. Sun listed "toxic effects of chloroethane" as well as "suffocation" as having contributed to his death.
Chloroethane is easily available in pharmacies a pain relief spray. It also has a history of being inhaled as a recreational drug.
