DANI Dyer will make EastEnders real family viewing by joining dad Danny Dyer on the soap as a cab driver. The actress debuts next month alongside her father’s long-running character Mick Carter in the BBC One drama.

Producers were particularly pleased with the casting because Danny, 43, and Love Island winner Dani, 24, are already in the same Covid bubble which requires less filming restrictions.

A TV insider said: “Soap fans are going to be thrilled to see father and daughter acting opposite each other. “Unlike some other celebrities who come on the show, she won’t be playing herself, she will be a cabbie who picks up Mick in the street. “But it’s only a small role and not one which bosses are planning on keeping as an ongoing character.”.
