Dancing On Ice's Connor Ball fears falling over during debut as he admits he's 'clumsy'
dailystar.co.ukConnor Ball is preparing to showcase his ice skating skills to the nation but says he jumped at the chance to appear on Dancing On Ice.The Vamps bassist, 25, is partnered up with Alexandra Schauman on the hit ITV show as he competes against celebrities including rugby ace Ben Foden, Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor and Happy Mondays star Bez and music icons Kimberly Wyatt and Rachel Stevens.While the ice is a far cry from the arena stages he is used to performing on, the Aberdeen-born musician admits he is prepared for the challenges that are thrown his way.Revealing his initial reaction to being approached, he told Daily Star: "It wasn't something I had to think about, I was just like 'Yes, I'll do it', I'm up for new stuff all the time, if someone comes to you and asks you to do that, you should."It's a life experience, it's amazing.
I spoke to Sonny Jay, from Capital, who won it last year, he was like 'Yeah, it was one of the best experiences of his life', so there was no question for me really."Opening up about meeting his competitors, he added: "The way people can meet from all different walks of life is amazing."Despite having a jam-packed schedule, Connor is currently working on his latest project, The Lunar Year, with Cheat Codes drummer Sasa Macek.However, he is not afraid of the workload, telling us: "With Dancing On Ice, there's a lot of training, so it's actually fine, I thought it would be harder but it's not."I've just got to not go to sleep at any point."Not one to shy away from discussing his clumsiness, he added: "I'm nervous, to be honest, it'll be fun, we have trained for a lot of time really, so I don't have any excuses but it's on to a lot of people, national TV, so I'm scared."I am very.
