Alexandra Del Rosario Associate Editor/Nights & WeekendsWriter-producer Dana Baratta, known for projects including Dawson’s Creek, Jessica Jones and Good Behavior, has died.
Baratta, who was also a close collaborator with Emmy-nominated producer Melissa Rosenberg, died on Sunday. She was 59.A source close to Rosenberg confirmed that Baratta died after a years-long battle with ovarian cancer.Born in a small town in Maine, Bartta kicked off her career with the 1994 title Andre.
The family drama from George Miller saw Baratta wear a number of hats as an editor, co-producer and writer.In 1998, Baratta landed Dawsons’s Creek, the first of many television series for which she would write and produce.
