Dan Walker turns to Man United legend Alex Ferguson for career advice after BBC exit
dailystar.co.ukBBC Breakfast host Dan Walker has revealed he has been given life advice by legendary former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.Dan, 45, has hosted BBC Breakfast since 2016, but last week announced he's joining 5 News, as a replacement Sian Williams.The presenter said Sir Alex, 80, told him to embrace the “next challenge” when they met up at the Grand National at Aintree last week, ahead of Dan taking up his Channel 5 role.He told The Mirror: “I’ve had a long chat with Sir Alex Ferguson.
It’s the first time I’ve seen him for a while and he looks very well.“He’s given me career advice, which was lovely. He was talking about the move to Channel 5 and talking about life and accepting the next challenge."When he was moving to clubs, St Mirren, Aberdeen and all those sorts of things, it’s good to get advice from good people around you.”’I've known him for a long time.
