A father has died after getting into difficulty in the sea with his young son as temperatures soared across the country today.
Cornwall Air Ambulance and Coastguard Search and Rescue were called to picturesque Porthcurno beach on Cornwall's south coast this afternoon.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that the foreign national was pronounced dead at the scene, reports Cornwall Live. A force incident manager said: “His family is now aware. "He was pronounced deceased at the scene and wasn’t from the area. “He went into the water with his young son and sadly didn’t come out alive.” The force incident manager did however state that the man’s son is physically fine.
