Cristiano Ronaldo has finished outside the top five in the Ballon d'Or for the first time in 11 years after coming sixth in this year's competition.Lionel Messi won the award for a record seventh time, pipping Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho to first place.Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Chelsea's N'Golo Kante rounded off the top five.Ronaldo finished sixth, followed by Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne and PSG duo Kylian Mbappe and Gianluigi Donnarumma.It was the Manchester United star's worst performance in the award since 2010 when he finished sixth behind Messi, Andreas Iniesta, Xavi, Wesley Sneijder and Diego Forlan.Since 2008, only one player other than Ronaldo.
