Figures show that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 90% effective with the Oxford-AstraZeneca jab showing 91% effectiveness in prevents deaths in those double jabbed.The research considered the impact coronavirus had on those who tested positive for the virus after receiving both vaccine doses.
The study is the first of its kind, looking at results across an entire country to examine the effectiveness of the vaccines.
