Coronavirus infections are rising in 117 areas in England, according to new data - released a week after lockdown was eased.
The figures, for the week up to April 15, show that 37 per cent of local authorities in the country have seen an increase in cases.
But, of the 315 areas, 186 (59 per cent) have seen a fall and 12 (four per cent) are unchanged. The latest figures, compiled by the PA news agency, come a week after lockdown restrictions were lifted across England.
