Covid-19 cases rise in five Tameside neighbourhoods - but majority of borough sees infections suppressed

Hyper local data from the government shows that in the past seven days to April 16, incidences of the virus increased in several neighbourhoods.

Ashton East saw nine cases, an increase of four on the previous week, while Hurst Cross saw seven cases, an increase of five.

There were six cases in Stalybridge East and Swineshaw, which rose by four from the previous seven day period. And six cases were recorded in Stalybridge North, which was an increase of one.
