The Eccles actress, who plays hair stylist Maria Windass in Corrie, has struggled with panic attacks since the age of 11 and wants to help others.

The soap favourite is now training to become a cognitive behavioural therapist and is halfway through a course that teaches sufferers how to change their mindset.

She told the Mirror : “By learning how to be a therapist, I’ll be able to help myself and maybe help other people as well. “I can relate to it.
