Corrie newcomer Laurence star's forgotten soap roles as he joins show at Sean's new man

Coronation Street star Robert Shaw Cameron has already won over the hearts of viewers - and new love interest Sean Tully – as a hunky dentist Laurence Reeves on the ITV soap, but eagle-eyed fans may remember the star from his previous television roles.Actor Robert was recently welcomed onto the cobbles as one of the mourners at Mr Pugh's funeral.Sean (Antony Cotton) took a fancy to the handsome stranger but later became upset that he didn’t pursue a chance to date him when they met.READ MORE: Coronation Street’s Stephen motive ‘solved’ by fans sure he never lived abroadGlenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) then came up with a plan, suggesting Sean should pretend to be a patient at Laurence's dental surgery.George Shuttleworth's sister then shocked Sean when she revealed she had arranged an appointment for him to see the dentist later that day.But fans may remember the hunky star from his previous roles in the soap.

Robert actually appeared in Corrie back in 2011 as police officer Douglas. He has also had roles in BBC medical drama Holby City, playing Dominic Wooten in 2002 and Heartbeat playing Joe Stanwyck in the same year.

His first television role was in the EastEnders spin-off Ricky and Bianca in 2002, before going on to appear in The Bill, The Wild Life, Where the Heart Is, The Basil Brush Show and was the voice of the Quizmaster for ITV's 24 Hour Quiz.
