Strictly Come Dancing star Katie McGlynn left the soap Coronation Street in emotional scenes in 2019 as her character Sinead Tinker sadly lost her battle with cervical cancer.

However, she feared it was the worst possible time to leave the cobbles due to it not being long before the Coronavirus pandemic, as her work quickly dried up due to filming being shut down.

But since then the soap star has gone on to have great success landing a new role in Hollyoaks and going on to join BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing, although her time on the show was sadly cut short.

Daily Star has taken a look at Katie’s life away from the cobbles both on-screen and off.Katie played the popular character, Sinead Tinker, in the long-running ITV soap Coronation.
