Coronavirus long-term effects 'underestimated' and could go on for months

The long-term effects of killer coronavirus has sparked concern among medics who have noticed a small number of patients whose symptoms persist weeks and even months after first falling sick.

Experts claim long-term symptoms are often found in around one in 20 patients, with side effects lasting for at least a month, sometimes longer.

One in ten still have symptoms three weeks after contracting the disease, despite recovery time for mild cases being two weeks, King’s College London claims.

The latest data leads researchers to believe the long term effects of coronavirus is being underestimated by the Government.
