Coronavirus case rates by local authority areas in Scotland released by Scottish Government

Scottish Government has published the latest weekly coronavirus data as the country enters into its third week of lockdown. A total of 11,328 positive Covid-19 tests were recorded in Scotland in the week between January 11 and 17 - which represents 9.2% of people tested for the virus in that time.The 7-day positive rate per 100,000 population across Scotland for that week was 207.3.Glasgow recorded the highest infection rate figure of 309.3 per 100,000 population, with North Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire not far behind.

The Orkney Islands has the lowest of 31.4. Nicola Sturgeon revealed earlier this week that the stay at home restrictions will remain in place until ‘mid-February’.
