Corrie actor joins comedy-drama Ackley Bridge.The actor, who won Villain of the Year at the British Soap Awards 2018, played the villainous Pat Phelan on the cobbles from 2013 until his death at the hands of Anna Windass in 2018.Connor went on to star in the Cinderella panto at Manchester Opera House after quitting Corrie, starring alongside his former co-star and rival Les Dennis.Les said of the role "It’s Michael’s chance to get revenge" after his Corrie character Michael met his own sticky end at Phelan’s hands.But now he’s set to debut in Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge as Cooper, the grandad of new traveller character Johnny.The Scouse star hasn’t appeared as an actor in any TV programmes since he left Coronation Street - so some fans will.
