thesun.co.ukFORMER Corrie fave Katie McGlynn has signed up for another soap — just 18 months after leaving the cobbles of Weatherfield. The 27-year-old, who played tragic Sinead Tinker on the ITV drama, joins Channel 4’s Hollyoaks as a yummy-mummy.
But this is a much darker role for Katie, who has ditched her striking blonde locks to become a brunette for her character’s arrival on screens next month.
She will play new mother Becky, who befriends fellow parent Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher), the wife of Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard).
But Katie’s character — who will be seen first on July 5 on E4 and then on Channel 4 the following day — has an ulterior motive.
