Coronation Street has signed Hollyoaks star Daniel Jillings as part of a new police racism storyline on the ITV soap. Daniel, 38, will be playing the role of racist police officer PC Brody, who wrongly arrests James Bailey (Nathan Graham) and causes the footballer to trip and injure his leg next week.
As well as having soap experience, actor Daniel is said to have worked with Greater Manchester Police as he has written on his official Twitter profile: "Once the youngest serving police officer in @GMPolice." Daniel played Billy Parker in Hollyoaks, while other acting credits include Prey, Doctors, Enemy Lines, Casualty and even a brief cameo as a barman in Emmerdale.
