SOAP fans have been left seething that both Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been cancelled AGAIN. ITV viewers will experience yet another schedule shake-up as bosses ditch their favourites to air a World Cup 2022 qualifier game.

Instead of the latest action from the cobbles and the Dales, England will go head-to-head with San Marino with a broadcast starting at 7pm.

Those who were less than pleased about Corrie and Emmerdale being ditched for the football, raced to air their views on Twitter.

One complained: "Bloody football AGAIN tonight! So no #emmerdale". Before joking: "Right. Well we'll have to do our own episode then".
