Cops in Lanarkshire on the hunt for group of teens who hospitalised man with head injury

A 20-year-old man was hosptalised with a head injury following an unprovoked attack by a gang of youths on Friday night.The incident happened at around 11.30pm on a footpath near to a shop on Old Coach Road, East Kilbride.Now cops are asking for help in indentifying the four youths - thought to be aged between 15 and 16 - involved in the attack.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The youths are described as white, with slim builds and wearing dark-coloured track suits.Officers have been checking for relevant CCTV footage and carrying out door-to-door enquiries.DC Steven Totten told Lanarkshire Live: “This has been a totally unprovoked attack and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us.“Did you see the attack or did you notice four youths running off around the time the crime occurred.“Any small piece of information could be vital to our investigation so please pass it on.“I would also ask any motorists with dash cams to check their footage if they were in the area that night.”Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.Alternativ
