Prince George and Meghan Markle from American cable company HBO has been scrapped, its chief content officer has said. Although the satirical cartoon never made it to UK television, it kicked up a fuss when it depicted members of the royal family as caricatures.
Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom starred in the show, lending his voice to Prince Harry alongside Condola Rashad voicing Meghan Markle and series creator Gary Janetti performing as Prince George.
The Prince allegedly mocked officials of the Royal Family and has since been scrapped by the network amid a series of fan controversies.HBO and HBO Max Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys confirmed during an interview that the show had been scrapped.Speaking to Deadline, Bloys said: "The Prince is not moving forward."The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's son, Prince George, was the focus of the American television series, with the show depicting what life was supposedly like behind the palace walls.Despite the show never airing in the UK, it still caused some controversy with Brits and many called for the show to be cancelled.
