Amir Khan should retire instead of chasing one more pay day. The rising welterweight star takes on South African veteran Chris van Heerden this weekend at Manchester Arena.

Benn, 25, is unbeaten and on the way up but has called out ageing stars Khan and his bitter rival Kell Brook in the past. The Essex puncher was ringside when Brook stopped Khan back in February and now he only has eyes for the winner of that fight.

He said: “I don’t know what there is to gain from the Khan fight. I will fight anyone they put in front of me and it is a massive domestic fight, idols to rivals but in terms of progression of my career I’d rather Keith Thurman over Khan but I would rather Brook over Thurman."The winner of Brook Khan interests me.

Khan needs to just retire. He got a one-sided beat down. Greed is one hell of a thing, when you’re out buying Mansory Lamborghinis then I can see why you need another pay day.” Brook is also looking to cash in it seems.
