Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.West Dunbartonshire Council has committed to assessing steps at Dalreoch Station, after a concerned resident warned that they were an accident waiting to happen.The worried local contacted the Lennox over his fears that someone would fall on the crumbling and uneven steps between the station and the lower car park.He said: “The staircase steps are crumbling and the upper level has subsided leaving a gap in the pavement tarmac and stairs below lying at an angle.“For public safety I contacted Network Rail who, in turn, put me on to Scotrail, but they said it was not their problem and to contact West Dunbartonshire Council – but after ten days I hadn’t.
