COLEEN Rooney or Becky Vardy could be hit with a legal bill of more than £2million after their explosive ‘Wagatha Christie’ court case, it has emerged.
The loser of the High Court libel case faces being saddled with a legal bill of more than £1.6 million, according to cost assessments drawn up by the two sides.
Damages awarded by the judge on top could then push the total cost to the losing Wag to more than £2million. The two sides have drawn up an estimate of their costs ahead of a private “budget and timetable” hearing on Tuesday.
The projected costs – submitted to the court - reflect work carried out by legal teams plus the number of witnesses called. Becky Vardy’s lawyers have run up a bill of £400,000 already - and estimate their costs.
