Coldplay's Chris Martin offered his support to the UK's Eurovision entry James Newman, hailing him as "graceful" in defeat as he called for fans to stream his song.
Last Saturday, the UK landed bottom of the leaderboard once again, with James' song Embers earning not a single point from either the public or the judges at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Despite the tough result, the 35-year-old took it on the chin and celebrated as the televote revealed he had gained nilch from the public, throwing his beer into the air.
At the final, which took place in Rotterdam after the Netherlands won the competition in 2019, the UK landed behind Germany, which earned three points for dressing up a hand making dubious gestures on stage.
