Cliff Richard 'distraught' by heartbreaking death of 'soulmate' Olivia Newton-John

Sir Cliff Richard is said to be utterly heartbroken by the death of his close pal and “soulmate” Olivia Newton-John. Olivia, who is best known for her starring role in Grease, passed away at age 73, her husband confirmed on Monday (August 8).Cliff’s friend, DJ Mike Read, revealed that the We Don’t Talk Anymore hitmaker has been “heartbroken” following the death of the Hollywood star. A close friend added: “Olivia counted Cliff as one of her closest friends. He was always there for her, no matter what. It’s little wonder it’s hit him so hard.

They were soulmates.”Sir Cliff, who is yet to comment publicly on his friend’s death, played a crucial role in catapulting the star to success during the early 70s.In 1971, Olivia was invited to become a regular guest singer on Cliff’s very own variety TV show, The Cliff Richard Show.

In a previous interview before Olivia’s death, he said: “We hit it off straight away.
