Christmas tree spotted in window of Scots home three months before Santa arrives

reports Glasgow Live. However, it may not be completely merry and bright this coming Christmas, as tree retailers have warned of a potential supply issue as growers battle with staff shortages, sky-high prices and a lack of transport, as previously reported by the Daily Record.

Scottish farmers have stated that the popular festive tradition could be the latest casualty of supply issues caused by Brexit currently plaguing the nation.

Mark Rofe, from ChristmasTrees.co.uk which has farms across Scotland, said: "Our main grower supplies the market with 100,000 Christmas trees each year and employs between 50 and 70 workers during the peak of the season.
