Christine McGuinness admits she's 'never watched' Paddy's breakout show Phoenix Nights

Before he coined the catchphrase "No likey, no lighty" as the host of ITV dating show Take Me Out, Paddy McGuinness was already a household name to millions of comedy fans across the country.

Starring alongside childhood pal Peter Kay, the Top Gear host first appeared on our screens back in 2001 as Bolton-born bouncer Paddy O'Shea in the much-loved comedy, Phoenix Nights.

The Channel 4 show quickly became a cult classic after just two series and Paddy's character was so popular, a spin-off revolving around his character and Peter's was released in 2004, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere.

Despite his breakout role still being quoted and loved by fans two decades on, not quite everyone has managed to catch Paddy' s appearance in the series
