drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman was reportedly arrested on Friday. Dutch Police claim Tse Chi Lop, a Chinese-born Canadian national, runs a $70 billion-a-year Asian drug syndicate.
Investigation leader Thomas Ailing said Lop is expected to be extradited to Asia following his arrest at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.Detective Ailing said Lop was "already on the most-wanted list" and was "detained based on intelligence" they had received.
It is not clear if Lop, an ex-convict, has a lawyer but Mr Ailing did say he appeared before a judge early on Saturday.Lop, from Toronto, Canada, has moved between Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan in recent years in an alleged bid to evade authorities.
