Joanne Louise Martine Baird's body was discovered by two children playing near Hey Brook stream behind All Saints Church on Foxholes Road at about 2pm on Thursday June 3.
The find triggered a full scale alert involving police, fire and ambulance services with the area taped off by officers. Assistant coroner for Manchester North, Peter Sigee, opening the hearing at Rochdale Coroner's Court, was told that Joanne was born in Withington.
