Chessington gives first look at epic new Jumanji themed land and rollercoaster

Theme park fans, you're going to want to plan a trip to Chessington World of Adventures next year, as the attraction is opening an epic new Jumanji themed land!Chessington is keeping fairly tight-lipped about exactly what will be on offer, but the resort has released new concept imagery of the land, and one shows a 55ft-tall 'Jaguar Shrine' statue surrounded by a green rollercoaster track, so we know there's going to be at least one big thrill ride.READ MORE: Theme park expert's tips for getting cheap tickets and beating queuesThey've also promised "wild rides, adventurous attractions and drama-filled experiences" with details revealed in the coming months.There's no doubt they're pulling out all the stops.The new £17million 'World of Jumanji' land is the single largest investment in the park's history, and it will also be the world's first themed land for the beloved Sony film franchise.

Judging by the images, theme park goers will be able to wander through a dense jungle-like setting with huge green plants, plenty of mist and no doubt a host of surprises along the way.Sadly you won't be able to explore the jungle this summer, as the new land isn't due to open its doors until Spring 2023.

Still there's plenty to see and do if you've got a trip booked to the resort in the meantime. The theme park already boasts 40 rides and attractions, a zoo, two themed hotels and even glamping options.
