It appears that singer Cher is quite the animal rights activist as she flew to Cambodia to be there to greet the world’s loneliest elephant.
Kaavan the elephant embarked on a seven-hour long flight from Pakistan after animal rights activists caused uproar when hearing of how he was treated in an Islamabad zoo.
The campaign to get Kavaan – an overweight, 36-year-old bull elephant – was heightened when it was shared by Cher, who jumped on the social media campaign in order to get the elephant transferred to a better facility.
The singer waited patiently at the Siem Reap airport, as she sported a black face mask and waved eagerly as the plane landed on Monday afternoon.
