Chelsea are reportedly looking to sign Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Hyrylainen once their current ban is lifted. The 17-year-old is being watched by a number of Europe's top sides, and Chelsea are reportedly ready to swoop once their sanctions have been lifted, and they are free to trade again.
The defensive midfielder is already representing Finland U19's, and has one year remaining on his contract with Frankfurt.Hyrylainen has starred for Frankfurt's youth side this season, and could join Chelsea as Thomas Tuchel eyes a new long-term defensive midfielder.
But they'll want to act fast, and hope that their ban is lifted as soon as possible. That's according to Sun Sport, who claim that Chelsea are hoping to sign once he turns 18 in August, and after the club is sold and their transfer ban then gets lifted.
They are currently unable to sign or re-sign new players, but a change of ownership is reportedly imminent. It has hindered them massively since Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government, but they've done well to strengthen their grip on a third place finish in the Premier League.
