Manchester United’s move for Ecuadorian youngster Moises Caicedo could be hijacked by Chelsea. The 19-year-old Independiente del Valle midfielder has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs having forced his way into his national side thanks to his fine club form.
Although it was thought that United were closing in on an official announcement of a five-year deal, Chelsea scouts are said to have held discussions over the teenager.
In addition, Newcastle and Brighton might also be interested in a potential signature with Caicedo set to move on for just £4.5m over the coming days.The Mail report that United are not in advanced talks with the player despite interest.
