Thomas Tuchel’s side had gone behind to a stunning strike from Youri Tielemans but appeared to find a leveller with minutes remaining.Ben Chilwell’s cross was turned into his own net by Wes Morgan to seemingly draw Chelsea level and force a period of extra-time.But VAR was having none of it, with Chilwell adjudged to have been millimetres offside in the build-up and the goal subsequently ruled out.
Blues fans couldn’t believe the decision, especially after Tieleman’s opener was allowed to stand despite significant claims for handball.
