Chelsea fans are beginning to get frustrated with Romelu Lukaku after he put in a poor performance against Brighton on Tuesday night.

Lukaku struggled to get involved in the Blues’ build-up play on the south coast as the Seagulls hit back to hold them to a 1-1 draw and leave them 12 points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Hakim Ziyech fired the visitors into the lead with a low strike from outside the box which beat Robert Sanchez at the near post.Brighton fought back after the break and levelled when Adam Webster powered in a free header from a corner in the 60th minute.Thomas Tuchel reacted by making a triple-substitution in the 80th minute, taking off Lukaku, Ziyech and Jorginho for Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic, but it didn’t make any difference.Lukaku was seen arguing with Ziyech on the pitch in the first half as the two stars struggled to link up.And he looked disappointed with his performance when he joined his team-mates on the bench and one Chelsea fan had documented his efforts. It didn’t make happy reading for the Belgian striker, who had just 18 touches of the ball, according to WhoScored.Blues fan @ChelseaTy_ took no prisoners on Twitter with his thread which turned a magnifying glass on Lukaku’s performance. His live text gave a flavour of the £97.5million man’s frustrations during the game.HAVE YOUR SAY!
