Chelsea are eyeing up a move for Everton youngster Anthony Gordon after he emerged as a surprise transfer target.The 21-year-old broke into the Toffees first team last season and was a rare bright spark for Everton as they narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League.

Everton are currently short of options up front, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out injured.Gordon has started as a centre forward in their first two league matches of the season, defeats against Chelsea and Aston Villa.As a result, Broja may go the other way in a deal for Gordon, with Chelsea having employed a similar approach when they signed Marc Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion.
