Champions League clubs may be barred from buying each other's players in radical shake-up

There could be a ban placed on transfers between teams in the Champions League as part of a radical overhaul of European football's premier competition.

The move is said to be being considered as it will help drive up revenue in domestic leagues, with clubs forced to buy players locally instead of raiding the best sides on the continent for their talent.

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has revealed his overwhelming support for the plan, which would be seen as an alternative to salary caps.
