Many film fans were left disappointed on Sunday night as the late Chadwick Boseman was snubbed for the Best Actor gong at The Oscars despite being the hot favourite to pick up the award posthumously.
Chadwick, who tragically passed away at the age of 43 after a battle with colon cancer in August 2020, was nominated for the award for his role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
His co-star Viola Davis, 55, was also expected to pick up the award for Best Actress for her portrayal of the titular character in the same film.
However, the pair were both snubbed, with Anthony Hopkins and Frances McDormand picking up the gongs for The Father and Nomadland respectively.
