Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Paul Lambert is using fellow ex-Celt David Moyes as his inspiration as he looks for a route back into management. But the Parkhead legend repeated his stance that he has no interest in taking over as former team-mate Neil Lennon’s permanent successor.Lambert left Ipswich Town at the end of February and has been using his time out of the dug-out to consider his next challenge.And the 51-year-old has taken heart from Moyes’ managerial rehabilitation after taking West Ham from relegation battlers to Champions League challengers in his second spell at the Londoners.Moyes has rebuilt his career following struggling spells at Real Sociedad and Sunderland following his sacking a Manchester United and many had written him off.
