Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Celtic fans prepare unique display as Green Brigade unveil plans to celebrate big anniversary in St Johnstone clash

The players will be greeted with a huge display as they take the field for Celtic vs St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon. Fan group The Green Brigade are celebrating the five year anniversary of the united standing section at Parkhead.

Formed in 2006 and inspired by the 'Ultra' movement which began in Italy in the 1950s. The organisation bring loud and colourful support to Celtic Park, though have been criticised by the club at various points in their history.

Former chief executive Peter Lawwell bemoaned UEFA fines partly caused by the group's behaviour, as did Neil Lennon. After a controversial display at Udinese in 2011 he fumed: "I can’t understand what they are thinking.
