Celtic fans from as far away as Russia and New Zealand sent a furious letter to the club's board rejecting the rumoured appointment of cop Bernard Higgins - insisting he had ruined lives due to his policing policies.
Controversial Mr Higgins was heavily involved in setting up the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act, which was introduced in 2012 in a bid to clamp down on sectarianism, and was overturned by the Scottish Parliament in 2018.
